I hope everyone is enjoying their Saturday! I recently finished On Writing by Stephen King and I wanted to share my review with you.
The book is basically a memoir on his life of writing, along with helpful tips for aspiring writers. I also think that reading it helps me understand the way people go about their writing process. I am interested in becoming a better writer in general and even write some of my own stuff one day, so it was also an exploration of the craft from one of the best.
After reading On Writing, I have an appreciation for Stephen King as a writer. He’s funny, honest, and engaging. Even though I’m not a fan of horror, I got a couple of his books to check out and at least one is science fiction, not horror. I would recommend On Writing for anyone who enjoys reading. I found it fascinating to hear about the writing process, but also about King and his life.
I give On Writing a 4/5 and take a new-found appreciation for King and his work. Have you guys read Stephen King? Do you have a favorite book of his?
